Delivery & Returns Policy

SS4E Delivery & RETURNS POLICY

1.     Delivery

1.1.         SS4E will notify you by way of email when your goods are to be dispatched to you.  The message will contain details of estimated delivery times in addition to any reasons for a delay in the delivery of the Goods purchased by you.

1.2.         If SS4E receives no communication from you, within 7 days of delivery, regarding any problems with the Goods, you are deemed to have received the Goods in full working order and with no problems.

1.3.         You can keep track of your order status yourself on-line with the order tracking facility on your account page. Our standard Returns Policy applies to all purchases from SS4E.

1.4.          The period stated within which you will receive your order is approximate. Goods will be sent to the address given by you in your order and stated in the Order Confirmation.

SS4E aims to always provide high quality Goods that are fault free and undamaged.  On occasion however, goods may need to be returned. 

Please make sure when returned the packaging is in fully protected condition as full refunds will not be issued on damaged returns. 

If you don’t receive a reply from SS4E within 48 hours of expected delivery date of returned item please check your courier tracking to confirm that we have received the item. 

If you do not have proof of delivery and a tracking number we will be unable to issue a refund if it goes missing in the post. We accept no responsibility for items lost in the post. 

SS4E will only take responsibility for any items once they have arrived in our depot and we have signed and checked them. 

If the item is found not to be in stock condition we will return it to you at your expense.

Returns are governed by these Terms and Conditions.

2.     Goods receipt

2.5.     The Purchaser must check and test the goods within 7 days of receipt.  If there are no faults or complaints, the goods are deemed to be accepted unconditionally by the Purchaser.

2.6.     Delivery Address: Please ensure you give your correct delivery address. Any incorrect and incomplete address risks being returned to us.  In these cases you will be liable for a delivery charge before re-despatch. 

The delivery address will be directly copied from the address provided; we take no responsibility for lost post due to incorrect postal details being supplied. 

2.7.     If the Goods have been dispatched or have reached you in accordance with order, but the Purchaser decides that they are no longer required, the Goods can be returned to SS4E within 7 days of receipt.  Goods can only be returned for this reason if their packaging remains unopened and the Goods can be re-sold, as new, without any additional work on the part of SS4E.  The Purchaser is responsible for paying shipment costs if Goods are returned for this reason.

3.     Faulty goods on delivery

3.1.     If any Goods purchased have faults when they are delivered, the Purchaser should contact SS4E within 7 working days to arrange collection and return. Goods must be returned in their original condition with all packaging and documentation.  Please make sure when returned the packaging is in fully protected condition as full refunds will not be issued on damaged returns. 

3.2.     SS4E is responsible for paying shipment costs. 

3.3.     Upon receipt of the returned Goods, the price of the Goods, as paid, will be refunded through the payment method used when the Goods were purchased.  SS4E reserves the right to make a 15% restocking charge (i.e. 85% cash refund) for any goods which are not returned in mint condition or to refuse to accept such goods, at its sole discretion.

4.     Faulty goods in warranty

If any Goods develop faults within their warranty period, the Purchaser is entitled to a repair or replacement under the terms of that warranty (Clause 7 below). Please contact Customer Service on enquiries@ss4e.co.uk.

5.     Goods damaged in transit

5.1.         If Goods are damaged in transit and the damage is apparent on delivery, the Purchaser should sign the delivery note to the effect that the goods have been damaged.  In any event, such damage should be reported to SS4E within 3 working days after receipt and arrange collection and return. 

5.2.         Please keep original packaging as the delivery company may require this to be sent in at a later date. 

5.3.         SS4E is responsible for paying shipment costs. 

5.4.         Upon receipt of the returned Goods, the price of the Goods, as paid, will be refunded through the payment method used when the Goods were purchased.

6.     Incorrect goods delivery

6.1.         If the Purchaser receives Goods which do not match those ordered, unless accompanied by an explanatory note detailing the changes, stating reasons for the changes and setting out your options, the Purchaser should contact us within 7 working days to arrange collection and return. 

6.2.         SS4E is responsible for paying shipment costs. 

6.3.         The Purchaser will be given the option to have the Goods replaced with those ordered (if available) or to be refunded through the payment method used when the Goods were purchased.  Refunds and replacements will be issued upon our receipt of the returned Goods.

7.     Missing goods

Non-receipt of goods must be notified to SS4E within 14 days from advice of despatch. 

7.   SS4E reserves the right to exercise discretion with respect to any returns under these Terms and Conditions.  Factors which may be taken into account in the exercise of this discretion include, but are not limited to:

7.1.         Any use or enjoyment that you may have already had out of the Goods;

7.2.         Any characteristics of the Goods which may cause them to deteriorate or expire rapidly;

7.3.         The fact that the Goods consist of audio or video recordings or computer software and that the packaging has been opened;

7.4.         Any discounts that may have formed part of the purchase price of the Goods to reflect any lack of quality made known to the Customer at the time of purchase.

Such discretion to be exercised only within the confines of the law.

8.     Warranty

8.1.         After delivery of the goods specified in the Purchaser's order all liability on the part of SS4E shall cease except where any goods become defective due to manufacturing defect within 12 months of the date of delivery and the Purchaser gives written notice to SS4E within 7 days of the defect becoming apparent.  

8.2.         SS4E undertakes at their discretion to replace the defective goods with the same or similar goods at the same price.

8.3.         This warranty is only valid if defects have occurred during normal and proper operational use in accordance with the SS4E's published specifications or if appropriate, to any written specifications accepted in writing by SS4E and does not extend to the defects which SS4E considered to be due to faulty or inadequate maintenance or handling by the Purchaser or an agent of the Purchaser or due to alterations carried out without SS4E’s prior authorisation in writing.

8.4.         The responsibility of SS4E is limited to the obligations set out in this warranty in respect of goods delivered under the Purchaser's Order or in replacement therefore.
